Kathia Rivera

I am Kathia Rivera Morales or Kathyn for friends. I have worked at IA for three years. I graduated in law; I like negotiations, international trade, politics and communication. I can assure you that today there are not many lawyers of my generation who can talk about links, SEO or Social Media, so I'm very proud of the knowledge I have acquired over the years, which, added to my previous work experience has given me a very broad view of a whole range of different sectors.

 My experience

 The experience I have gained in the areas of negotiation and project management in Spain and Latin America have helped me with my job as Off-Page SEO Manager at Internet Advantage.

 I firmly believe that the opportunities that arise or we seek when we are still students are critical to any successful career. In my case, working as an intern in SERPAJ human rights NGOs in Panama City. Following this, I spent several years working as a legal assistant in Panamanian in numerous highly reputable law firms (Rangel & Associates, Batista & Associates, etc.). Learning not only about different aspects of law but also about management, administration and monitoring of processes in general.

 After finishing University, I had different opportunities to develop my career: commercial negotiator in Panama (Industry and Commerce Ministry), a sales experience coordinating projects in Rusticas del Noreste and after that, project manager for European projects in Urban Strategy in Spain. This experience not only gave me technical knowledge but also maturity both personal and as a project manager.

 My studies

Thanks to my law background (Panama University) which I strengthened further by postgraduation studies in Private Law and International Commerce (Salamanca University) and further training in international negotiation (University of Alberta) I have a wider view of the opportunities and possibilities that a lawyer can face in the 21st century.
