Katty Parvulescu

Hello! Or should I say “Buna!”, as we say in Romania, the country where I come from. My name is Catalina, but everybody calls me Katty. I am a young online communicator, with what I would call an interesting professional background.

 I have started my career as a teacher in a kindergarten in Romania. I was 19 years old and eager to do something with my life.  Studying at the Faculty of Letters (University of Bucharest) in the field of Communication and Public Relations, I discovered I’m attracted to the world of marketing and advertising and decided that this is what I want to do in the future. Although this domain also developed in my country, I thought Spain would offer me more opportunities to work in a professional environment so I came here, in Salamanca, a wonderful city, the perfect place to study Spanish and fall in love with Spanish traditions and people.  I was lucky enough to find a great online marketing agency, which  initially offered me a freelance job for their Social Media Marketing department. At first, I knew almost nothing about this new way of doing marketing. Just like any other person interested in socializing, I hadFacebook and Twitter accounts, but I never imagined social networks could be so useful for establishing new communication strategies and tactics. I had to read a lot in order to understand what online marketing is all about, I even took an online marketing course offered by Internet Advantage, and I did all of this because I wanted to know more about this fascinating domain.

Being passionate about my work, open minded and intuitive, I managed to convince everybody that I can do more , so this year I’ve been recruited in the Off-page Link Building team of IA. I love my work (it may sound as a cliché, but I mean it J ), I am eager to learn more about the wonderful world of online marketing and in a couple of years I see myself…right here, helping our clients to achieve their business goals and, most importantly, helping them have a good relationship with their clients. Because a successful business is all about COMMUNICATION and TRUST.
