 Laura Barrios’ Bio

I have worked at Internet Advantage since December 2010, but my professional relationship with the founder comes from many years agowhen I worked for his previous company ‘don Quijote’.

I studied English at the University of Salamanca and then, determined to become fluent, I decided to move to Oxford where I worked for the University of Oxford for 3 years.

How did I get to where I am today? I attended a free course that was offered by Internet Advantage in May 2010, then after doing some freelance work for the company I was asked to fill the position of Account Manager.

My role aims to fulfill the requests of our clients; I look at what has been agreed and then I organise, coordinate and manage the processes. I make sure everything is running smoothly and I keep in contact with clients to keep them updated on the developments of their website. I love to organise, my drawers are always kept well organised, of course IKEA has a lot to do with it though, it makes it very easy! J

When my friends ask me what I do for my job, I am always amused by their response when I answer: "We are dedicated to getting organic positioning in search engine results for client’s websites." Normally they do not understand so I break it down so that they know this world does exist! :)

I am told by my co-workersthat I have a magnetic personality and that my positive energy rubs off on the people around me, helping to make the office a nice working environment. They say I am a hard worker who always remains enthusiastic no matter what the situation – a real credit to the company. I’m not going to contradict them! ;)
